Klopfer - Hirth couplings
Positive connection and the capacity of self-centering are the features of the KLopfer - Hirth couplings. These qualities designate our gear rings for use as space-saving element for high torques or for indexing with highest reproducibility.
We can quarantee for all areas of application for our product the high demands that are placed on our gear rings during use in machine tools. this includes a highly accurate reproducibility of positioning and transmission of extremely high torques with long liefetime.
The couplings can also be produce in accordance with customer drawings at the highest level.
-The Hirth serration is a spur gear coupling with radial teeth. The torque transmitted is proportional to the circumferential force. The wedge surfaces of the teeth transmit a large part of the circumferential force in a form-fit manner. Clamping devices, such as disc springs, hydraulic cylinders or screw connections, provide the necessary axial force.
-The serration saves installation space and weight. It transmits high torques and simultaneously centres the parts. The connecting coupling is backlash-free and suitable for alternating loads.
- Material 34Cr4 quenched and tempered to 90-105 kp/mm²
- Induction hardened 0.6-0.8 deep HRc 58±2
- Repeat accuracy 0.001mm on axial and radial run-out
